Kazakhstan has lost approximately 3.8 million tons of oil in exports due to attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), announced by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov on January 28.
According to the minister, Kazakhstan has not received nearly one million tons of oil as a result of the suspension of the Tengiz and Korolevskoye fields following attacks on tankers. Additionally, ship insurance costs have also increased significantly after the attacks near CPC facilities.
