Investigation Launched into Child Abuse Incident on Khabarovsk Playground

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Khabarovsk Territory has initiated an investigation into the alleged beating of a child by a woman during a conflict on a playground in Bikin. The press service of the department confirmed the development on October 11 via its Telegram channel, stating that police officers identified a viral video depicting the incident. The footage reportedly shows a woman striking a minor, prompting authorities to launch an inspection.

The department noted that law enforcement received information about the child’s injuries from a hospital on October 7. Further action will depend on determining the severity of the harm inflicted. Separately, in Primorsky Krai, prosecutors opened a criminal case under Article 116 of the Criminal Code for violent acts with hooliganistic motives after high school students subjected an eight-year-old girl to physical and psychological abuse. The incident occurred when the teenagers took the child to a toilet and mocked her, though teachers intervened to stop the act.
