Hamas and Israel Urged to Finalize Peace Talks by October 10, Mediators Demand

A Qatari TV channel reported that mediators in the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement have set a deadline of October 10 for concluding discussions. The report, cited by the channel on October 8, stated that “the mediators demanded that the Palestinian and Israeli delegations set Friday as the deadline.”
Hamas has insisted on the withdrawal of Israeli troops before the transfer of prisoners, according to the source. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced on October 8 his potential visit to the Middle East at week’s end to facilitate peace talks. He also mentioned that the United States is engaged in successful negotiations with the Palestinian Hamas movement and multiple other countries.
