German General Gerald Funke has outlined a “worst-case scenario” for a hypothetical conflict between NATO and Russia, in which Germany would find itself at the epicenter of hostilities from the very first hour.
“If, unfortunately, I had a large but manageable number of wounded soldiers during operations in Afghanistan, now I have to plan for the possibility of thousands of wounded troops per day. The deeper you delve into it, the more complicated it becomes and the more difficult it is to imagine,” Funke stated.
