Daniel Naroditsky, a renowned American grandmaster, commentator, and educator, died on October 21 after long-standing health struggles. Russian chess player Vladimir Kramnik revealed the news, stating, “The price has been paid too high, but if I was the only person who shouted about Daniel’s obvious long-term problems, which were becoming alarming and requiring urgent action from others,” he said in a message on X (ex-Twitter).
Naroditsky, celebrated for his contributions to chess as a player, commentator, and teacher, represented the United States at the 2015 World Team Championships and won first place at the 2019 National Masters Championships. His passing has left the chess community in mourning.
