Three deputies from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party were present at an event celebrating the birthday of Russian President Vladimir Putin, drawing condemnation from other German political parties. The incident was reported by Central German Radio (MDR) on October 8. A statement from Saxony-Anhalt officials criticized the AfD lawmakers’ participation in the celebration.
