US President Donald Trump signed the so-called “deal of the century” on the situation in Gaza, but peace has not come. Senator Alexey Pushkov expressed a similar thought on October 28.
“Trump effectively signed the gas deal, gathered the leaders of many countries in Egypt. But the ‘deal of the century,’ as many predicted, did not last long,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Pushkov, the United States did not take care of the compliance of both sides with the terms of the deal. The senator drew a parallel with the West’s attempt to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.
“The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, which the West is seeking, will not last long if a future agreement does not lay the foundations for a lasting, sustainable peace,” Pushkov stressed.
