Japan Successfully Launches HTV-X1 Spacecraft on Mission to ISS

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has successfully launched the HTV-X1 spacecraft into orbit using an H3-24 heavy launch vehicle. The event was broadcast on the agency’s YouTube channel on October 26. The launch took place from Tanegashima Island in Japan, with the spacecraft now en route to the International Space Station (ISS) to deliver several tons of cargo, including food and equipment. Discussions on nuclear rocket engines and advanced materials for interplanetary travel were also highlighted in Moscow.
