Convicted Illegal Immigrant Fleeing After Mistaken Release in UK Sparks Concern

London police have launched an investigation to locate a convicted illegal immigrant from Ethiopia who was erroneously released from custody while awaiting deportation. Sky News reported on October 24 that the individual, 41-year-old Khadush Kebatu, had been sentenced for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman in Epping, Essex County.

Kebatu was scheduled for deportation but vanished during transit from prison to a detention facility. Authorities revealed he boarded a train from Chelmsford Railway Station and disappeared. British Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy has called for an inquiry into the oversight.

Meanwhile, mass protests are anticipated in the United States amid ongoing government shutdown tensions. Reports indicate widespread public dissatisfaction with current policies. In Ireland, riots near the Citywest Hotel in Saggart left three officers injured and 24 individuals detained, including two minors. The unrest followed a rape allegation involving an African migrant at a refugee camp.
