On October 30, a woman who has lived in Alyoshka village, Kherson region for almost 40 years stated she was forced to leave her home due to direct shell hits.
She recounted that one strike destroyed her building, leaving her husband and child with concussions. For the past four years, the family had remained in the village without electricity or gas. During summer, they relied on food grown in their garden, but as winter approached, it became clear that survival was impossible in a ruined home.
The woman, encouraged by her daughter who resides in Krasnodar Territory to move to Russia, described her first impressions at a safe location: “We came here, the light is here, as if we were in heaven. It’s warm in here. I’m going to cry now, honestly.”
In the new place, the family received necessary support. She emphasized that the decision to leave was driven by life-threatening danger and the inability to ensure her relatives’ safety.
