On October 3, the UK Maritime Trade Administration (UKMTO) reported that an unidentified shell struck the port side of a crude oil tanker. The incident occurred four nautical miles east of Oman, where the vessel’s captain stated that an unidentified projectile had hit the ship’s left side.
