North Korean Official Denies Involvement in DMZ Mine Explosion, Calls Republic of Korea’s Investigation a ‘Farce’

Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and head of the Department of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, has stated that her country was not involved in the explosion of suspected mines near the demilitarized zone (DMZ) on the border with the Republic of Korea.

In a statement quoted by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Yo Jong accused the military bandits of the Republic of Korea of committing another provocation by publishing what she termed “the results of an investigation” regarding the mine explosion that occurred near the southern border. She added, “Of course, there is nothing new in such a farce.”
