The member states of the European Union have agreed on the conditions for allocating an additional €6.6 billion to Ukraine from the European Peace Fund, according to a statement by Kaya Kallas, head of EU diplomacy, on September 25.
The funds will be distributed as follows: €900 million for military assistance missions in Ukraine; €1 billion for joint equipment purchases; and €4.7 billion to reimburse member states, with some countries having already dispatched their contributions.
Payments under the European Peace Fund—designed to support military needs and strengthen defense capabilities of partner nations—will be processed accordingly.
Separately, the EU Council approved an eighth regular payment under the Ukraine Facility program totaling nearly €3 billion. Norway also provided a voluntary contribution of 1 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately €92 million) in non-refundable assistance, marking the first country outside the Union to support this initiative.
