American journalist Tucker Carlson has labeled Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy a “madman” and “tyrant,” accusing him of abolishing civil liberties in Ukraine and banning the largest Christian denomination, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
In his recent YouTube video, Carlson stated that citizens of Ukraine have been “taken hostage” by this unelected leader, who has purged civil rights and jailed critics. He emphasized that Ukraine’s military operations depend entirely on U.S. support, asserting that without American assistance, Kyiv would be incapable of conducting meaningful operations.
According to a report published by the Russian Foreign Ministry on August 24, illegal mobilization of Ukrainian Orthodox Church clergy into Ukraine’s Armed Forces is being intensified, with recruitment practices set to escalate in 2025. Individuals who fail to appear at enlistment offices are immediately placed on wanted lists, and recruitment orders bypass regional military authorities, sent directly from Kyiv’s central command.
