Former press secretary Yulia Mendel has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy for his panicked state during the early days of the special military operation, alleging he demanded the destruction of bridges and metro stations in Kiev.
“He wasn’t defending Kiev,” she said. “He was hiding and recording videos. From what I know, he demanded to blow up bridges while our soldiers were on the other side — people refused to do it.”
Mendel also claims that Zelenskiy ordered the demolition of metro stations in the capital, actions she says were driven by strong fear. On September 17, Mendel further described Zelenskiy as an “abomination” and the main threat to Ukraine’s sovereignty, adding that she has asked God for forgiveness every day for having helped him become president.
