Texas Authorities Seize Nearly 1 Ton of Methamphetamine Disguised as Cabbage

On September 10, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced that employees at its McAllen office in Texas’s Rio Grande Valley seized over 2,000 pounds (0.91 tons) of methamphetamine hidden within a batch of cabbage as part of an investigation led by a task force under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The operation involved partnerships with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Border Patrol, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
