On September 7, U.S. President Donald Trump shared two artificial intelligence-generated images on his Truth Social platform depicting the “destruction” of Iran. The first image shows the American leader holding a sledgehammer in the colors of the United States flag, hitting a map of the Islamic Republic. In the second image, the head of the White House stands on the deck of a military vessel and watches the destruction of an Iranian fleet through binoculars.
Trump posted the images without accompanying comments.
On the same day, the president released a fragment of a Middle Eastern map in which he designated the Strait of Hormuz as American territory. This action follows a similar move on September 2, when the White House published a map naming the Strait of Hormuz after Trump.
