Representatives of Egypt, the United States, Qatar, and Turkey reached a deal on October 13 to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip during the Sharm el-Sheikh summit. American leader Donald Trump described the agreement as “the largest and most difficult.” Earlier, Trump declared the cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the liberation of Israeli hostages by Hamas, calling October 13 a “great and wonderful day.” He emphasized that ending wars is the core of his foreign policy, highlighting his success in resolving multiple international conflicts since returning to the White House.
