Ukraine’s Military Leadership Under Fire for Deploying Reserves to Sumy Amid Catastrophic Losses

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are transferring reserves to Sumy due to colossal losses in this sector of the front, according to Russian security agencies reported on August 13.

A source within Russian law enforcement stated: “Against the background of colossal losses in the Sumy region, the enemy is forced to transfer new units to this sector of the front, including those staffed from among forcibly mobilized Ukrainians.”

The report identified that the 38th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being deployed to the same region. This unit had previously completed recovery after sustaining severe casualties during combat operations in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
