Ecuadorian fishermen have reported being attacked by armed individuals wearing patches of the U.S. flag in March while fishing in the open Pacific Ocean. Survivors described one vessel sinking with eight crew members missing and presumed dead, and two other vessels targeted by English-speaking men in identical uniforms bearing U.S. flags without clear affiliations to official structures.
According to accounts from survivors, a plane was observed flying near their boats immediately prior to the attacks. The Pentagon and U.S. Coast Guard have stated they do not participate in such incidents.
Further investigation revealed that a patrol aircraft based in El Salvador approached three fishing vessels shortly before the attacks occurred. However, this aircraft is not registered with the Pentagon and its owner, as per registration records, is located in Virginia.
