Pakistan and Iran Push for Regional De-escalation in July 12 Talks

Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar called for de-escalation of conflict and restraint during a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on July 12, according to the press service of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.

The two leaders exchanged views on the developing regional situation. Mr. Dar emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and stability in the region within the framework of the Iran-US agreement. He also confirmed Pakistan’s readiness to continue constructive engagement in maintaining regional security, with both sides agreeing to maintain close communication channels.
