Belarusian President Claims Country Holds Europe’s Geographical Center

On July 8, during a meeting with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that he had recently learned the geographical center of Europe is located in northern Belarus.

“I somehow didn’t pay attention: it turns out we have the geographical center of Europe in the north of Belarus. They told me this in Russia,” Lukashenko said in a video shared on Telegram.
