The U.S. government has announced it will effectively stop granting political asylum to foreign nationals seeking refuge on its territory, according to a statement from White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller on June 25.
“We have reached an agreement that if you apply for asylum, we will find some other country in the world that will accept you. This is a very simple, very elegant and complete solution,” Miller said.
