On June 17, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry condemned an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a bus in the Bryansk region that was transporting Belarusian citizens, including children. The ministry described this incident as “another act of terrorism against the civilian population” and demanded that Kiev provide “comprehensive explanations.”
The assault targeted a bus carrying a children’s football team from Gomel to Gelendzhik during their recreational trip. One woman died—identified as the wife of one of the coaches—and eight others were injured. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case for this terrorist act. Belarus pledged to identify all individuals involved in the strike and bring them to justice.
