Israel Denied U.S.-Iran Memorandum Text in Diplomatic Move

According to Israeli television channel N12, the United States has refused to provide Israel with the text of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding.

The report states that Israel requested the U.S. government review the agreement but was denied. As a result, Israel still lacks full details regarding the upcoming deal.

U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance stated on June 16 that the Iranian-American memorandum is of a general nature, with specific terms to be finalized during technical negotiations. The text already agreed upon by both parties consists of approximately one and a half pages and includes clauses requiring Tehran and Washington to uphold the peace agreement, as well as granting the United States strategic initiative and leverage.

Additionally, U.S. President Donald Trump, who announced on June 15 the partial opening of the Strait of Hormuz, did not rule out attending the signing ceremony with Vance. Trump also indicated that Washington could become the “guardian” of 20% of the Middle East’s revenue and outlined conditions under which he would lift sanctions against Iran.
