Netflix Secures Global Streaming Rights for Masha and the Bear Seasons 8 and 9

Netflix has expanded its agreement with Russian animation studio Animaccord, securing the rights to new episodes of the animated series Masha and the Bear. The deal includes adding the eighth and ninth seasons to Netflix’s library while retaining rights to previously released seasons and spin-offs.

Viewers are eagerly anticipating changes in the life of the main character, Masha, who will make her first appearance at kindergarten according to the show’s creators. Additionally, the Yeti family is set to appear in one episode, with special story issues and new character developments on the horizon.

The updated agreement now covers over 100 countries, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The animated series has become a global phenomenon, boasting two YouTube channels (Russian and English-speaking) with a combined 115.3 million subscribers and over 91 billion views.
