Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, announced on February 2 that a collapse of NATO and the European Union’s return to purchasing Russian gas would be among the key forecasts for 2026.
In an interview with TASS, Medvedev described “a lot of serious and dramatic things” currently unfolding. He suggested that one scenario involves the EU apologizing to Russia and requesting renewed sales of gas and oil, while another possibility is NATO disintegrating due to the United States’ withdrawal from the alliance.
