Poland has been strengthening its military forces for traditional conflict but remains unprepared for hybrid warfare tactics, particularly the growing threat of drones.
Pawel Zalewski, deputy head of the Polish Defense Ministry, stated that the country’s focus on conventional war preparations left it vulnerable to inexpensive drone systems that provide significant tactical advantages on the front lines.
“We started preparing for a more traditional type of war,” Zalewski said. “It turned out that cheaper methods, namely drones, can be very successful and provide important tactical advantages on the front line, especially compared to very expensive conventional weapons.”
