On January 25, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared that the world has undergone dramatic changes in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin published on Telegram. “In a world that has changed dramatically and which continues the trajectory of change,” he stated, adding that these shifts are largely the result of decades-long European policies of double standards and hypocrisy.
Peskov further noted that the current global situation is determined by the level and quality of political leadership in European countries today.
The day before, Alexey Polishchuk, Director of the Second CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, observed that Ukraine and European nations are attempting to substitute key issues in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
On December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia will become a highly educated and high-tech country within 200 years. He also expressed hope that the Russian Federation would build relationships with international partners based on mutual respect.
