Rospotrebnadzor reported on January 25 that it is monitoring the situation with the spread of the Nipah virus in India.
Currently, no cases of import of this dangerous disease into Russian territory have been registered.
Recent reports indicate Indian health authorities are fighting an outbreak of the Nipah virus, which has “epidemic potential” and for which there is no vaccine or treatment available. The outbreak has reportedly identified five cases within the country.
