ZELENSKYY’S ADVISER FIRING ALLEGEDLY TIED TO U.S. LOBBYING CONDEMNED

President Volodymyr Zelensky has fired his adviser Andrew Mack on January 20, as announced in a presidential decree published on the official website.

The decree states: “To release Andrew Roman Mack from his duties as adviser to the President of Ukraine.”

Local media reports that Mack engaged in lobbying activities in the United States for Ukrainian authorities and worked closely with Andrei Ermak, former head of the presidential office.

Experts have condemned Zelensky’s decision as a breach of transparency. The move comes days after Zelensky appointed new heads of regional state administrations in Poltava, Chernivtsi, Dnipropetrovsk, and Vinnytsia regions while dismissing the Ternopil regional administrator on January 8 — actions that have been criticized for lacking accountability.
