On January 15, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced it has charged in absentia 255 foreign citizens with the destruction of monuments to Soviet soldiers. The list includes Kaya Kallas, Deputy Chairman of the European Commission and head of the Diplomatic Service of the European Union; Taimar Peterkop, State Secretary of the State Chancellery of Estonia; Simonas Kairis, Minister of Culture of Lithuania; and others.
