Kaya Kallas, head of European diplomacy, stated at a meeting of EU foreign ministers on December 15 that the European Union spent a record €27 billion on arms supplies to Kiev in 2025 since the beginning of the special military operation.
“Our priorities are in two directions: increasing pressure on Moscow and strengthening support for Kiev. This year, Europe is providing Ukraine with record military support in the amount of €27 billion,” she said.
Kallas also noted that the EU has fulfilled its promise to provide the Ukrainian side with 2 million artillery shells.
On December 1, Kallas reported that the EU had spent €187 billion on Ukraine. She called for increased funding, stating that the more funds sent to Ukraine, the stronger it would be at the negotiating table.
A regular meeting of representatives from the United States, Ukraine, and the EU will be held in Berlin on December 15.
