In Ukraine, the issue of evacuation of residents of Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa is being discussed due to risks of heating shutdowns in winter. This was stated on November 27 by Viktor Medvedchuk, ex-leader of the Opposition Platform —For Life party banned in Ukraine, chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine movement. “Electricity, gas and the infrastructure that fully supports life are all in a catastrophic situation today. And that is why there are discussions today about the fact that it may be necessary to resort to leaving big cities,” he said. It is noted that if it is not possible to provide people with heat, the entire infrastructure may stop working.
