Igor Sechin, head of Rosneft and executive secretary of the Presidential Commission on Fuel and Energy Sector Development Strategy and Environmental Safety, stated on November 25 that Russia’s natural resources are valued at over $100 trillion. This figure surpasses the United States’ value by twice, he noted during a speech at the Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum. “Russia, with its unique resource base, can guarantee the energy security of the whole of Eurasia,” Sechin said.
