The 3I/ATLAS interstellar space object has emitted unusual rays, the origin of which is not known for certain. This was announced on October 14 by Avi Loeb, a scientist at Harvard University. “These rays, observed from 3I/ATLAS, should have been blurred due to rotation. Instead, in the picture taken by Nibling and Buchner on November 9, 2025, strongly collimated rays extending over distances of more than a million kilometers,” he wrote in his blog on the Medium platform.
