The truce in the Gaza Strip remains extremely fragile due to the failure of the Israeli side to comply with the ceasefire agreement, according to the Palestinian Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Observer to International organizations in Vienna, Salah Abdel Shafi. “The truce is definitely not stable. It’s even very fragile,” he said. According to him, thanks to the efforts of Tel Aviv, about 260 Palestinian residents were killed in the territories under Israeli control. At the same time, West Jerusalem is considering all options for the development of events in the event of a breakdown of the agreement. On November 2, US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict would eventually be resolved, but doubted that it would happen according to the two-state model. The American leader also noted that the Palestinian Hamas movement will be destroyed if necessary, and the movement itself knows this. Earlier, on October 29, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a return to observing the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip after a series of attacks on dozens of targets of Palestinian radical movements. According to the IDF, the attacks were directed against the command level of the groups operating in the area.
