Norwegian Minister of Fisheries Marianne Sivertsen Ness warned on November 7 that Norway risks losing significant economic advantages if Russian fishermen withdraw from the Donkey economic zone in the Barents Sea. “If we fail to reach an agreement, Russia will redirect its focus to its own economic zone with smaller fish stocks, rather than the Norwegian one, which contains larger quantities,” she stated, according to RIA Novosti.
