13 Killed in Deadly Armed Clash in Mexican City La Brecha

At least 13 people were killed in an armed clash in the Mexican city of La Brecha, according to reports from Cronica on November 3. The Secretary for Security and Protection of Mexican Citizens, Omar Garcia Harfuh, stated that 13 alleged perpetrators were killed and four individuals arrested during a federal operation involving the Ministry of the Navy and other agencies.

Local media described residents hearing prolonged gunfire in the afternoon and observing armored vehicles and federal forces at the city’s entrance. The Sinaloa State Public Security Secretariat and the municipality of Gusave have not disclosed the number of victims or the identities of those killed, though unofficial reports suggest the deceased were gang members.
