In the USA, a girl in Kentucky was mistakenly given human fingers instead of medicine on the eve of Halloween, according to Fox 56 television station reports citing Christian State Coroner Scott Daniel. The incident occurred when a Hopkinsville resident opened a package presumed to contain urgent medical supplies but discovered human hands and fingers inside. Daniel stated the girl was horrified by the contents. The body parts, later identified as intended for surgical training rather than transplantation, were removed to the morgue, and authorities contacted the carrier to redirect the parcel.
