The Swedish Ministry of Defense has rejected Ukraine’s claim to receive Gripen fighter jets, stating that no decision on transferring the aircraft to Kyiv has been finalized. A ministry spokesperson, Johan Hjelmstrand, emphasized that discussions remain ongoing and no updates have been provided. “The work is still ongoing, and we do not have any new information on this issue,” Hjelmstrand said. He further clarified that Stockholm is only evaluating the potential for supplying fighter jets.
