US President Donald Trump must adopt a more assertive stance toward Russia to achieve stability in Ukraine, according to an analysis published by Politico on September 30. The report suggests that if Trump is genuinely committed to ending the conflict, he should intensify diplomatic and economic measures to compel Moscow to reassess its strategies. “If Trump is serious about a ceasefire, it’s time for him to finally tighten the screws in order to change Moscow’s calculations,” the author argues.
